Charles Bridge Prague
The Charles Bridge between the city parts of Mala Strana and Stare
Mesto over the Vlatava river, is only opened for pedestrians and one of
the most visited and famous sights of Prague.

The bridge was built in 1357 under the reign of Charles the IV. Role
model was the stone bridge in the German city of Regensburg.

Charles Bridge is the oldest preserved stone bridge in the world. It
has a length of 516 metres and a width of 9,50 metres. 17 arcs lie on
15 piers.
